A Chicagoland local and full time musician, Cheryl Rodey is a vocal powerhouse and songwriter, with a raw, emotional honesty that makes you sit up and pay attention. Whether performing her own well-crafted originals or blowing the roof off with her version of well known tunes, she is an exciting and dynamic musician to catch. "Cheryl Rodey is a force of nature. Her voice can handle the subtle and sweet touches that a song needs at times but when she swoops in and belts out a tune with full force she is unstoppable.

It would be easy to compare her to singers like Janis Joplin, but after listening more, she really has more control that is more akin to Aretha Franklin or Adele, because she can take a song wherever she wants it to go.
